WMLKI brings a restorative and anti-racist lens to all our programs. Our diverse, skilled and talented team offer a range of workshops, training, consultations to communities, organizations, and institutions. How we can help:

Arts-based transformation

·       With arts-based workshops and community programs that center storytelling, embodiment, and creative expression as pathways to healing. Grounded in theater practice, voice work, improvisation, songwriting, and ensemble-building, WMLKI uses the tools of performance to help individuals access their lived experiences, deepen empathy, and strengthen authentic communication.

 

Cultivate a culture rooted in trust, dignity, and belonging. Through restorative frameworks woven together with collaborative arts processes, we support participants to engage not only in dialogue, but in embodied exploration-rehearsing new ways of relating, listening, and responding to one another. Performance becomes both mirror and rehearsal space: a place to surface harm, hold complexity, and imagine repair.

Move toward more equitable and relational structures by centering ensemble practice and non-hierarchical creative processes. When people create together-when they share story, voice, and presence-they build the relational resilience needed to navigate conflict, respond to crisis, and envision more just futures. In this way, the performing arts are not decorative to the work; they are the foundation for transformative problem-solving and collective healing.

Build a culture that fosters understanding and connection between groups in a conflict, to create stronger community ties by providing a language and means for needed but difficult conversations, and to create safer communities overall through training and understanding around restorative justice practices that can be deployed more broadly.

Transform Your School

 

Create a school-based community where every member feels valued and is supported to thrive by becoming a Restorative School. We can accompany your school through the process—train, mentor and support students, teachers, staff and families.

 

Build a school culture that emphasizes creative conflict resolution and  promotes positive responses to conflict, including establishing peer mediation in your school. Our participatory and interactive methodology will help  school staff and students learn conflict resolution skills and theory and support working through conflict rather than fighting, venting or sitting with dissatisfaction.

 

Establish a Student Ambassador program to support student leadership in transforming school culture-including peer-led restorative circles and student-led workshops in conflict resolution.

 

Business Transformation

 

Our business training delivers interactive team-building challenges that create shared experience and surface usable insights about roles, planning, and follow-through. Team building works when it improves how people communicate, coordinate, and make decisions under real constraints.

Conflict resolution skills are essential, teachable abilities used to manage disagreements constructively, focusing on active listening, empathy, emotional intelligence, and collaborative problem-solving to reach mutually beneficial solutions.

Train the Trainer is a professional development model that prepares individuals to become effective instructors by teaching them to design, deliver, and evaluate training programs.

 

Building Community

 

Encourage thoughtful engagement and collaborative solutions to challenges your community faces throughRestorative Community Building Circles. These circles nurture relationships beyond racial and cultural barriers through the sharing of personal stories which promote a more inclusive environment where all voices are heard and valued.

 

Become a Restorative Justice Circle Keeper and use your leadership skills in a new and healing way. Restorative Justice (RJ) is about building relationships and healing harm. We offer a five day introductory training that provides a solid understanding of what RJ is, how it is used, and how to be a Circle Keeper.

Create a more restorative workplace and/or organizational culture. We can adapt our general Circle Keeper Training to meet your needs.
